Moby's Coffee & Tea Co. sits comfortably on Burbank Blvd in North Hollywood as a local hub for coffee lovers and casual brunch goers alike. This coffee shop blends a laid-back neighborhood vibe with a solid lineup of carefully crafted drinks and a modest food menu, making it a reliable stop for both early risers and mid-day work breaks.

Stepping inside, visitors find a warmly worn-in atmosphere with plenty of cushy chairs and a dedicated bar area set up for those wanting to plug in and get some work done. The spot draws a mix of regulars who appreciate strong, no-nonsense coffee—from drip to nitro cold brews—as well as folks looking for a low-key place to meet friends or relax with a pastry. If mornings are when you visit, the almond croissant and Belgian waffle stand out as satisfying companions to their lineup of espresso-based drinks or the intriguingly named Killer Whale Cold Coffee.

Beyond the indoor seating, Moby’s offers a small patio, making it an inviting place for dog owners to linger while their pups enjoy some fresh air. The outdoor space also suits those who prefer a quieter moment away from the main street buzz, especially on mild California days. Their inclusivity extends to community connections, with occasional events that draw locals together—adding a social layer to the usual coffee stop.

The drink menu pays attention to variety and quality: you’ll find locally sourced organic coffee alongside seasonal specials like the Caramel Apple Butter Latte and a Pumpkin Pop Pie that caters to craving something sweet and cozy. Nitro cold brew enthusiasts particularly note the smooth, balanced finish without bitterness or sourness, distinguishing it from big-chain options.

For everyday use, Moby’s works well for freelancers, students, and locals seeking a dependable caffeine lift with friendly service. The staff’s approachable knowledge base makes navigating specialty drinks straightforward, even if it’s your first visit. Food-wise, the selection remains casual and comforting—good for a light brunch or a snack rather than a full meal.

One logistical note for first-timers: the restroom is located at the far end of the space, which might catch you off guard but is always clean and well-maintained.

All told, Moby’s Coffee & Tea Co. captures the essence of a neighborhood cafe where people come not just for the coffee but for a moment of calm and connection in the flow of their day.

Unpretentious coffee shop with a strong local following and good coffee. The staff are all kind and helpful and it’s always an enjoyable experience to go. Lots of comfortable well-loved chairs and a bar area to plug in and do some work. You can also grab a number of breakfast items including pastries, empanadas, and waffles. Great Burbank haunt, just be aware, their bathroom is at the other end of the strip mall and shared with other stores if you’re looking to hunker down for the afternoon. Enjoy!

Great local coffee and tea house. They have a a full menu for food, custom coffees and coffee themes of the month. Dogs are welcome while they cannot sit inside, there's a wonderful little patio for you and your pup. They host wonderful monthly events for the community. Perfect hidden Little. Jen.

This new coffee shop is a fantastic addition to my daily work route. I always judge a new spot by its cold brew or nitro, and this one is top-notch. The Nitro Cold Brew is perfectly balanced: creamy, low-acid, and satisfying, avoiding the sourness found at Groundwork and the watery flavor of Starbucks. The Iced Coffee is similarly excellent—brewed strong, never watered down, and hitting the ideal robust flavor without being overly bitter. Coupled with friendly, efficient service, this is instantly my new preferred stop for high-quality cold coffee.

I love their community-forward focus and drop coffee! It's nice to have a locally owned coffee shop with pleasant seating areas and a nice patio.

Moby's is a lovely little coffee shop. They have a delightful seating area where you can relax and read or have a nice conversation with friends. I love the decor of the shop. The staff was also very helpful for my first time explaining the specialty drinks they had and all their various options. I tried just a regular Mocha and a Blueberry muffin. The muffin was delicious and my drink was wonderful. If you are looking for a nice quiet spot to spend a little bit of time Moby's is definitely for you.

Love the new location! So much bigger and better than the last one. I got my Whaley Shiny Squirrel and I'm satisfied. I look forward to seeing the space once everything is in place! The work area are lovely.

I ordered the bacon waffle and some crazy coffee concoction with "squirrel" in the title. Thr food was absurd on paper, but were incredibly tasty. After eating here, I saw it featured on an episode of MTV's "Catfish," so that's pretty funny.

Very cute, community-oriented spot! Tons of seating and great for working or reading. Got a maple cinnamon latte and a mint matcha, both were really good!
